I'm curious of other players way of thinking on this, who do you guys determine worthy of your vote be it DPS, tank or healers?

I give mine to someone who stood out to me. If no one "stands out" to me, i give no commendation. I usually do give commendations though. I find myself spreading them out quite evenly. Did the tank hold aggro and pull well? Did he quickly correct mistakes?
Does the DPS hold back the damage in pinch spots to avoid taking aggro if the tank had a weak moment? Does a DPS player stun/silence occasionally on trash?
Does the healer keep us so high on HP that we aren't even worried about damage?
Who dodged mechanics well?
These are the sorts of things that i ponder when giving a commendation.
Same as Anubis said. I try to recall good game play and not just to the class I feel puts in the most work. being a Healer I can def tell whos getting hit by things, or who is constantly. Its one thing to get hit by mechanics you're not use to, but to continue to fail and nearly die to them through out a fight is another thing. I def have handed em out to DPS and Tanks depending on performance.
I don't really care , just click randomly ( everyone want heart u know XD )
First of all I count how nice that person is. Friendlieness is the most important factor for me. After that efficiency. As a healer, I try not to give it to the tank too often, if there's someone else worthy ofc, because I'm sure they're the ones they get more, since as a tank you stand out more.
I first look at whether anyone responded to the "Hello everyone" that I start every dungeon off with. Responding is, effectively, required for me to give someone a Commendation. If multiple people respond, I tend to look at who "stood out" the most for me, in terms of friendliness and skill. I also factor in whether or not they're actually doing the dungeon for a non-Roulette reason; i.e., if we're doing Copperbell (Normal), and there's a legitimate level 17 player in there, I will be inclined to Commend them over others, all else being equal.
I tend to agree with everyone's post on some level, friendless and helpfulness are very important qualities. If I ask "any good strat for this boss" and I get a reply along the line's of "l2p noob Monk" your not getting a commendation. I give what I recieve. When I'm dps-ing I sometimes find it harder to notice how everyone is performing with their roles unless (to echo what fraeblood touched on) I'm on my WHM, it's very to see then if people are standing in stuff they shouldn't be or not using CD's at the right time or having to be rezzed 5 time's in one fight![]()
The new dungeons have a lot of mechanics that will put DPS' to work. If a DPS can switch and DPS down adds quickly, dodge AOEs and pull off mechanics like the first boss in Copperbell or the Zuu in Pharos and is generally friendly then he gets my commendation.
I hand them out more or less randomly unless someone really stands out. But it takes a lot for me to notice since I'm usually focused on doing my own thing (DPSING as much as I can as a healer without letting anyone die). I get quite a few as a healer, I figure if I want more I'll just pick up tanking. I'll get 500 soon enough anyways.
Best fashion sense. Here's to you; Lotus Pink Darksteel tank.
