I know you're trolling, but you failed to understand why this is being posted in the pvp forums so i shall break it down for you:



As an archer i can backpedal or run-n-gun without the need for jumps because there are no land/geo obstacles for me in pvp and as a caster i really don't need to jump except for the aforementioned.

Having played the mmos and pvp based games for over a decade and a half now (UO, EQ, 30+ k games, arcades in game basements, corner stores, and massive arcade arenas like Playland in NYC--ffs what's with all this credential bait?) and understanding the jump situation it's become apparent that you may be new or very fond of jumping hence the ludicrous claims made.



As discussed in other threads: the moment someone has their back to me, i spam Impulse Drive so i prefer them to have their backs towards me; I LOVE kiters. Ranged dps/Healers aren't a problem at all it's jumping that's the problem.

What the hell are you talking about? You've clearly never even tried kiting as a ranged class in this game. FFXIV practically forces you to jump while kiting because using an ability automatically faces you towards your target. If you're running north and your target is south of you when you cast Scathe you will start running towards him unless you jump before you cast.

The fact that you've been playing games for 15+ years and are unable to grasp this simple concept is mind boggling.

Edit - You're right, I was wrong. I had tried it out a while ago but for some reason I had thought it didn't work. Sorry for being such a dick before. I was in a bad mood after visiting relatives LOL.
