Should I waste my wolf marks on DRG gear or lvl a better class?

I've been playing a DRG for a while now. I have the full HQ crafted ilvl 55 PVP set. I have much experience in pvp having achieved 2100+ in arena in WoW.

I'm just not feeling the burst dps of this class. The other team keeps heavy on me and I blow all my TP chasing down my targets. Jumps are on long cds so I find I have to save those for kill shots and focused healer stuns. Speaking of stuns, my main stun ability, Leg Sweep never seems to stun anything. It works maybe 1/10 times. It consistently fails.

I don't have an OP comp to run with, nor do I plan on getting one. I want a good class to do randoms with, and I don't feel that DRG can carry enough weight by itself.

So the question is.. should I waste my wolf marks on gear, or max them out and lvl up a class worth bringing into the arena?

DRG are a great class for comps. Or at least they should be on paper lol.

-They can be immune to status afflictions for 5 secs.

    -Good range and melee dps.

    -Good closing potential.

They win against a monk imo. However, the other "best dps" classes are already apparent and running wild lol.

I'd say stick with DRG for the, imo, inevitable hotfixes. If those hotfixes never come...then just stop playing pvp. That's what I'm gonna do anyway.

I run as a MRD and like running with DRGs. We compliment each other very well.

All melee suffers greatly from not having a slow imagine a warrior without hamstring a rogue without crip poison enhance shaman without frost shock . now give all those abilities to ranged and u now have FFXIV pvp melee need movement imparing effects to do any real damage in any mmorpg because lag will always give melee an issue seeing as they have to be 5 yards from target if they dont ranged will always be able to avoid the majority of damage

ohh and all ranged have a rogue sprint on a 30 sec cooldown that melee suffer using cuz it uses ur damage generating resource so if ur a warrior it would empty your rage bar death knight takes all your rune enhance shaman drains ur mana rogue takes all your energy.

real melee friendly pvp we have here huh

Some really good points made so far. I agree that hotfixes are inevitable, I just wish they would have thought these things through before releasing PVP. It's not like melee vs. ranged dps issues are anything new. It's understood that melee needs the ability to catch up to and slow targets, as well as not have to worry about things like animations resetting due to bunny hops.

Also the 5 second immunity would be fine if you could use it while immobilizing effects were active. Having to anticipate when you're going to be sleeped means you might as well blow it at the start of the match and hope you make the BLM waste a gcd.
