US servers

I'm not exactly new but I've been playing Japanese servers for past few months because of my friend was stationed there but we're thinking of jumping ships but have a couple questions. Firstly is how are US servers compared to Japan? I suffer sometimes from .5-4 second lag due to servers and was wondering if it's just as bad in US because I've heard US servers aren't well maintained. Secondly would be which server would you recommend?

I never have much of a lag issue. I play on Leviathan which is a pretty populated server, so I would recommend it for that. Never much trouble finding parties unless it's super late at night.

I do not tend to have any issues any longer...even Titan HM has gotten easier on dodging Plumes because it is actually not cheating any longer. If you live in the US the data center is in Canada so how far do you live from there is the question????

I live in Texas,but I'm sure that'll be quite a bit closer than Japan

Hit or miss mostly. When I run with my FC, it's usually a successful run. DF can be sketchy but so is the nature of the DF. Pre-mades via the party finder have been pretty decent except for HM Titan. Took me almost a week to get my relic cause every party kept failing! But, someone from another server said it took them a month, so I won't complain too hard.

Only bad places, for me using DF, have been the new dungeons. I take partial blame though as I have very little experience with them except HM Haukke. People are usually pretty cool about it though, but there has been a few failed Pharos Sirius and Haukke for me.

I got lucky with DF and Titan HM and got first try but I've heard the stories,and the final boss of Haukke HM took me awhile to understand because of the final part she kept eating our tank
