It's a change in the opposite direction from what you're assuming, it's geared far more towards casuals than those who play more frequently. People in the first 8 yrs of 2ks spent way more time playing than they do now.

Why they didn't run out of content as fast? Because it wasn't super easy & accessible and you couldn't level 1-50 in a day or two tops. I don't really see that many people sticking around after a month out of 2.1.

You think you're the main source of income of FFXIV? Word of mouth and reputation will get you a lot more income than a few people who never play the game but are still subscribed. If there were some popular MMO players that streamed and migrated to FFXIV from WoW/etc then you'd see a much larger spike in population. A single casual could never produce such a boom in subscriptions.

I agree with you. I think I came across the wrong way. My point is this type of genre, both game and player, has changed but people want it to be like the way it was before. If you have the time to do the content, go for it. But you will run out of things to do if you have an abundance of time. Like it or not MMOs are being tuned down for the masses and its awesome for some, sucks for others.

Still plenty of content you just don't want to do them!

See this is why Yoshi-P said he will add new Classes, Jobs, and Raise level cap during Major Updates.

Because a good amount of Players are stuck with a fully maxed character with noting to level anymore.

But then the same people who cry because "there is no content" will rush the new content in 2 days and lvl those new jobs to max lvl in a very short amount of time. There is always nothing to do for those who have too much time in their hands.

Well very little people are FATE grinding anymore so.....

I say 1 weeks to get all current classes to new lvl cap and another weeks to get the new class to new lvl cap because people are queuing for dungeons consider the current ideal Yoshi-P has for new classes is in the DD catagory. (*cough musketeer, scout class, and more mage classes *cough)

Yup, musketeer is the next job that will be implemented I think. If they could add the thief class/job as well, I would be a happy panda.

@OP At this rate, it is nearly impossible for devs to add new content every 2 weeks since players like you clear the new content very quickly. It doesn't mean there's nothing to do in the game though.

Honestly, no offence, but people who have maxed out, all the best gear, every class/craft to 50... do you not have lives? How do you find that much time?

I play for a good 4-5 hours every night, possibly longer, and my SMN has like 3 ilvl 90 bits of gear... my highest profession is like level 21... I would say I put a lot of time into this game, but compared to everyone else, I probably don't even put in that much... it's crazy.

It's been a week, I've ran and cleared Crystal Tower, now running it every night to get drops to upgrade my gear. I run coil every week. Usually 1-4 since I need more gear for t5. I've yet to clear any of the extreme modes (hard finding groups). Still working on grinding beast tribe. Grinding myth/philo. PvP... and totally content.

People need to slow down if you've blasted through all the new stuff already...
