The REAL item level requirement for extremes (becuz dev where drunk)

most people cant even get to that level unless they wait weeks to get enough myth tomestones & do coils and get the drops they want. unless you focused all you myths on one job your stuck. SE and there stupid lockouts & limits. needing high ilvl just means your gonna be eating the aoe's which is your problem not the equipment requirements. SE beat it at the minimum.
im pretty sure everything can be beat in DL.

This is just people getting butthurt from having bad groups or dying too much to stuff. I have killed all 3 primals several times now on my tank who is i90 but I can tell you this. even at i90 I can be killed very quickly from not being smart on any of these fights. BUT if I am smart. I can also tank these fights in Darklight and have seen it done with tanks in darklight. ifrit ...is not hard on tanks at all if your tanks aren't dumb. Switch whenever your debuff falls off. Leaves 2 or Less debuffs on the MT at all times and healers can take a real load off and focus on keeping the raid topped off and makes that fight 100% easier. Titan...doesn't even hurt, Time your cooldowns for bombs if you take them or Mbuster nough said. Garuda, Everytime the adds cast friction they do Wheel attack Pop 2 cooldowns as a pally and you litteraly take crap for dmg and can do it every time that phase comes up, and that is the ONLY part of that fight where there is any real dmg incoming to the tank.

But really, I too have been really curious about what the ilvl req. means. I have been under the assumption that it's the minimum to complete (where anything below that is impossible), but have some doubts about the party/gear make-up and strategy needed to beat the dungeons/primals with the minimum, so I too would love to get a confirmation or an example from SE if the ilvl value is what I think it is.

These fights were developed with one thing alot people leave out.


The right mix of classes.
I'm sure they tested all this with the right mix of classes covering the weakness of each class. Also I have done garuda with my 73 tank at the time, a warrior none the less and did it with a party finder group. Everyone bashed me because I was to low of an I level and the only reason I was invited was because it was late and they needed a tank. And guess what after all that bashing and 3 runs of me figuring out the mechanics I dominated it. The healers also did a good job I had a few holy crap moments but never died.

I personally agree that maybe it should be darkish minimum that's all otherwise everyone needs to be top notch.

I think people who set those ili requirement so high in party finder like at 85-88 must suck personally because they need to be that over geared to clear the content

From what i have seen, full dl is not enough to survive, even with accessories to boost your hp and even if you dodge everything

The currently, ridiculously low item level requirement is set the way it is so you can sell runs of these fights and carry a person that poorly geared.
