The REAL item level requirement for extremes (becuz dev where drunk)

I almost imagine they set the minimum iLv as what the lowest someone can join as who is being carried by people of much higher iLv. I can't imagine an ENTIRE party entering most fights at whatever the minimum iLv is listed for, and that doesn't just go for Extremes. Can you imagine a DF PUG of 4 players at iLv48 (meaning wearing worse than AF1) doing the new dungeons and succeeding?

Not just SE, but taking that they tested and tuned content for granted is laughable considering the whole history of hard MMO content.

It's a complete non-point anyway since the function of a ilevel requirement is for the DF, you can do gear checks yourself in premades. Why would you want DF groups to have a harder time than pre-mades when they are overwhelmingly learning groups? Doesn't it make more sense to give yourself a bigger margin of error for random learning groups?

The currently, ridiculously low item level requirement is set the way it is so you can sell runs of these fights and carry a person that poorly geared.

But really, I too have been really curious about what the ilvl req. means. I have been under the assumption that it's the minimum to complete (where anything below that is impossible), but have some doubts about the party/gear make-up and strategy needed to beat the dungeons/primals with the minimum, so I too would love to get a confirmation or an example from SE if the ilvl value is what I think it is.

I consider myself an average player skill-wise, and tanking Garuda EX in full darklight was not difficult at all (DF party). I could have done it in less than ilvl70. Of course, the whole party has to know what they're doing, otherwise you wipe even if you're ilvl90.

I'd love to see an ilvl 57 party with two tanks beat Titan hard. Pretty sure the mages wouldn't even have the HP for Tumult.

Ifrit EX, one of the rare fights in the game where Selene is usefull for something else than dps !

Dat stoneskin combo on top of that magic def buff is rock solid. Learn to your Scholars how to stack fairy's buffs by swappin of when shit get real

Otherwise : it's entirely possible to do it at ilvl requirements. After all Garuda EX is a simple dps check, you just have to save your cooldowns for adds and the encounter is somehow trivial alreay. Even better with ranged since they can profit of requiem when they got to burn them, also go in with a WAR, that -10% debuff is valuable.

It is possible, just use all the tools you got in the game in a proper maneer
