Dismount Goobue mount on PS3

I accepted a daily beastmen quest where i was given a Goobue Mount.
A FATE popped that i wanted to be part of while riding the mount and .. I decided I would dismount since i completed the objectives for this quest.

I am on PS3 version and nowhere was there a dismount option.

I tried using any of the Hot Bar keys for other mounts that I own.. but they were not active while riding the Goobue.

I tried using a keyboard command /dismount but nothing happens.

I finally decided to just aggro something to be killed so i could home port.

What's going on here that I am missing ?

Press "select" a few times, until the cursor is on the "mounted" icon, then press X to dismount... Or you just go back to the quest-giving Sylph and it will automatically put you back on your feet! Hope this helps

The dismount button is L3 (click the left stick).

Yep! ^^ Just make sure you're not selecting players, NPCs, or monsters, or else it will lock on instead of dismounting.

You can turn off that lock-on nonsense now! It's in the button config. I changed my left stick to sheathe/dismount only.
