As we all know, due to the release of the rogue/ninja, the Duty Finder queues have become hell. I'm not going to gripe about that here, but instead suggest some things that fellow players noticed which could help lessen their burden:
1) Mobs in certain areas where everything is aggressive have the debuff Heavy. This debuff is refreshable by the mob and players do not build a resistance to it, unlike Stun or Silence. What this means is that you go yalms upon yalms and the mob which inflicts Heavy can repeatedly inflict it on you. There is a specific mob that does this and without cast times too: an archer Amalj'aa in Southern Thanalan. Every hit it inflicts gives a 20s Heavy debuff. You do not build resistance to it. Even when Heavy is inflicted, the debuff is refreshed to 20s instead of letting the debuff timer run out. And because it is ranged, it is difficult to run away from... and then you encounter the next archer mob or a group of its friends. /gg
What if you are using another class and then your Duty Finder, which was signed up using a different class, pops up? You are stuck in the aggressive zone and lose your place in the queue. Three hours go out the window... you were #1, you go back to #400.
Suggestion: Implement forming resistance against Heavy/Slow -OR- Don't let it be refreshed by each skill usage; if Heavy is already present, the timer should run out before Heavy can be inflicted again.
2) Related to #1. Sometimes you are crafting, or are in the middle of Sylphlands or Zahar'ak or Twelve-knows-whatever where every single living thing wants to eat your face. Naturally you cannot change classes, and even after combat there is a wait time before you can change classes.
Suggestion: A Duty Finder Wait button. Commence, Wait, Withdraw. Wait does not make the people who you were supposed to go with actually "Wait" for you any more than a minute. Instead, it puts the player slightly lower in the queue allowing them to finish what they were doing. For example, if #1 used "Wait", he will become #10.
-OR- Increase the Commencement confirmation time from ONE minute to TWO minutes.
3) Summoning Chocobo while on Duty Finder queue automatically removes the player from the queue. Some people make mistakes, some people don't know that this will happen, etc. I think there is a simple solution to this.
Suggestion: Show a Prompt that states "You cannot summon Chocobo while on Duty Finder queue. Please withdraw from your queue." -OR- Show a Prompt that asks the user "You are in Duty Finder queue. Summoning chocobo will remove you from the queue. Do you want to summon chocobo? [Yes/No]"
