On a serious note...the players wanted jump added to the game per the 1.0 survey. This is a good example being careful what you wish for. Me? I voted "no" on that part of the survey, and have given serious thought to disabling it all together on my guy.

considering just jumping around with a caster renders most melee abilities useless and out of range, its good to see one melee class actually giving almost the same headache back to them.

Sure it does. Had players not demanded a jump, this would have never happened. You guys asked for something in a ff game, knowing there has never been another ff game with a jump button, and you got it. And Of course it got botched lol! Same thing with pvp. Add the 2 together for the first time you now how invincible jumping pvp lol.

Also when someone is casting if you run out of their side range fast enough the cast won't go off. This happens a lot in pve when someone pulls a mob a different facing...same thing. There are flaws in pvp. It will get smoothed out over time.

Great you can see my PVE class. I do not PVP as SCH. Good job on trying to derail though.

Edit: Note this only effects melee characters. BRD can still shoot a jumping target and casters can cast on them, but all melee skills are canceled if a jump is in progress on the target.

the jumps dont make the dragoon invincible or untargetable, what you might be seeing though is something similar to the bug casters are abusing with bunny hopping. And that my friend is latency, blame it on the servers and their bad location, and possible a bad network code.
