But that first time you made it up without falling off you know you danced/celebrated lol.
Those insane, ceaseless jumping 'puzzles' are the reason I left GW2. Just not my thing.
Devs did a pretty good job of putting in a jump in 2.0, but making it pretty much cosmetic only, keeping the antijumpers happy. This is probably the only compromise in the history of MMOs in which all parties are at least not flaming angry anymore. Let's not restart this war.

Wait, you quit GW2 because of something that had absolutely nothing to do with anything other than some exploration achievements? That seems pretty shallow. Those insane, ceaseless jumping 'puzzles' are the reason I left GW2. Just not my thing.

If not jumping puzzles, then at least more places where we can use jump for exploration goodness. invisible walls and false platforms are not my thing.
This is how I like to see jump used. Hole in the ground? Jump over it. Low wall in the way? Jump over it.
I know WoW had various things like that, where in some dungeons you'd have to jump to get over a gap and such. Outside of 1 dungeon (with 1 achievement), there was only a single boss mechanic that I remember that required jump to avoid, but if you messed it up it was no big deal. You just didn't get the achievement for it.

I'd have to admit it may sound silly, but if I couldn't jump in this game that limitation alone would probably made me not re-sub after the first month. Those insane, ceaseless jumping 'puzzles' are the reason I left GW2. Just not my thing.

a few puzzles, maybe, kind of like that mountain thing in FFXI where you had that really narrow path, but I would not go as far as saying it needs to be everywhere. Sprinkled in yes, dumped all over? No ;p
Go play The Secret World and do the jumping missions in Transylvania.
If you manage not to smash your computer in frustration, let us know how you feel about jumping puzzles after that.

The Cost of Magic is fun, and for people who aren't coordinated at jumping in the game, you can still get someone else to get credit for you by grouping with that person. :P
Few things are as hilarious as making the vampires charge through a mined platform to get to you, clearing a path for you to just walk right on through. Waiting to heal up after poison dips is minorly annoying though.
Please no more jumping puzzles! The mountain in FFXI in Attowah broke me of jumping puzzles for good! Every week the endless climb and the many ways you can fall gracefully broke my characters neck on a regular basis.
I feel leave jumping puzzles to GW2.![]()
