unable to create charcter config data

seems like n issue with ps3 users SE has to work out..

ever since new patch my ps3 has been freezing quite often which it nvr has done that b4 , after manually havin to turn off ps3 n restart wasnt able to log due to the message in the title

so had to delete my charcter save in ps3 data which brings me to the point of the post... when i finally managed to log in everything as wiped ._. gear sets, hot key setup etc etc etc

so shouldnt somethin like that also b stored on SE servers not just in ps3?

This is all stored only locally to ease the server traffic, on PC patch 2.1 introduced the local backup utility, on PS3 unfortunatelly SE is still waiting for somethning to be solved on Sony's side so you're out of luck. It's indeed inconvenient but still better than loose all the proggress.

yeah took me like over n hour to save all gear sets n redo all my hotkey set ups again ;/ justs a nuisance if ask me ._.

For things like hot keys, it's client-side because people who alternate between PS3 and PC (or possibly just between a desktop PC and a laptop) may want different setups depending on the platform and what kind of keyboard they use for each system. Similarly, HUD elements like window size and position can vary between platforms that have different resolutions, etc. So for some settings, it makes sense for the client to have the setup information, even if it can occasionally cause some hassle like you encountered.

Gear sets, on the other hand, have nothing to do with which system you're playing on. They're about your character and equipment. That sort of thing really belongs server-side. The fact that it too gets stored client-side feels like a poorly thought out hack of a feature.

yeah the hotkey thing is easily redone for each class but its the gear sets is a nuisance ;/ but the little symbol they added when lookin for gear in sets helps but still takes a long time to redo them all ;/ hopefully they can figure out the problem asap
