Crystal Tower... players abusing it

I joined a game in progress as tank , tank bailed before first boss was down .

Some people were abusing people for making mistakes etc . I made a simple mistake having only run dungeon 2x as tank and to cut a long story short the paladin belt dropped on first boss . I took the loot and did a runner .

The problem is that the overall game has no community. Reputation means nothing because you will probably never met the same people again usually , this is because there are millions of people playing this game.
Now had I joined a FC run I would've never had quit after getting loot because I know im going to play with these guys again so I have to build a reputation as a solid player.

So how to fix this ? I don't have the answers to that sorry.

Make it so they lose their loot if they abandon duty!

And if the group fails on 3rd boss and disbands you leave and lose item ?

i don't see this as a problem. they are already taking a half hour penalty were they can't do anything in the df. how about we just delte there charater when they leave for wanting a drop.

Easiest fix for this and Everything is make it where each boss drops a coin, you need all bosses coins to turn in for One pc of gear.. Every time you run this your getting One pc of gear your main needs or for an alt. Simple...

Makes sense for us, but not for SE. The purpose of the system is to keep us running the instance, so that there is a constant pool of players who want to run CT. If you could just run it once for the week, get your one piece of gear and then be done with it, many people would stop running it and your pool of players would shrink. Not to mention the content would be less utilized.

Now, you could make it where each boss drops a coin and you have to win that coin from each boss. Now you'd have to keep running it, each boss, until you acquired all four coins. Not sure if this is any better or worse, given you could be in a position where you have to run it a significant number of times until you can acquire all of your coins, unless you had an FC running with you regularly.

How about just terminate their account. The way people are carrying on in this thread it's almost as if these droppers stole all their gil and locked THEM out of CT for a week with no loot

Nope that probably won't happen and if it did then some people would be queueing for in progress and abandoning new groups.

They do that anyway. The only real fix is to start punishing the behaviour instead of trying to design around it. You will never out-think the massive amount of assholes in the douchebag think-tank. Simply start some bannings to set an example and within weeks it will be a non issue.

that's all good until someone gets DC for real and banned for no fault of their own , it might even be you.
