    Can't update to 2.1

    I haven’t been able to play this game for a week now. I've downloaded patch 2.1 several times a day, every day, since it came out and every time it fails. The most resent error I'm getting is "Unable to update patch files. [11006] [20641] [20642] [20600]". Every time it downloads about 1.2 GB the patch numbers disappear (I think its trying to install) and then it fails. I've probable spent 50 GB of my data trying to install this thing with no luck at all. I haven’t been able to play for a week! Which I find unacceptable since I paid my sub and one fourth of my time I can’t even play the game because your launcher/patcher is complete garbage! I have played tons of MMO's, and I still play several of them off and on, none of them have any problem downloading and installing patches

    Things I've tried

    -I run the launcher as admin (I right click and click run as admin).

    -I've tried re-downloading (Multiple times).

    -I tried having the game install on another hard drive.

    -I've tried downloading it on another computer.

    -I've disabled my firewall and anti-virus programs.

    -I've defragged my whole computer (all drives).

    -I've reset/shut down my computer after every attempt.

    -I've uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game, the game installs the other patches but once it gets to patch 2.1(the last 1.9 GB) it fails. note the first 2 times I tried updating from a fresh install the patching failed however the third time it went though all the way tell i only had 1.9 GB left then failed)

    -I've made sure my pc is up to date.

    -I've made sure my drivers are up to date.

    Any Chance anyone can help me here? I really like this game, that is when I can actually play it.

    my rig:

    GPU: Geforce GTX 670
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz
    Memory: 8.00 GB RAM
    Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium

    EDIT:
    Just got a new error code this time "A problem occurred while updating. Please restart FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn (Beta Version) [11006] [20641] [20643]". Once again it downloaded about 1.3 GB, then the download size and how much i have downloaded, disappeared and the error came up about a minute later.

    I'm having the same problem, I've tried to download several times and have un-installed and re-installed the client. The message I get is a little different than yours, "Unable to update patch files [11006] [20819] [20831] [19900] [1117]", I'll keep trying and hopefully someone can give a solution.

    Same here. Paid for a new subscription so I could update the game and it won't update.

    The support center link doesn't work.....like most of this game for me.

    Update:
    Well it magically worked tonight! Got the stupid thing installed! All I did was the reset my pc, turned my firewall and anti-virus off, and ran the launcher. Don't get me wrong I tried this several times before and it didnt work, however for whatever reason it did this time. I'd like to thank SE for being no help at all and having the WORST patching system ever, 1 full week of sub time down the drain thank you so much!

    I'm having the same issue, restarting didn't work for me. I'm going to have Christmas with my family, now. Hope this gets fixed for all of you.
