Please make PvP ability reset cost GC seals rather than wolf marks

It's kind of crazy to need 100 wins just to be able to decide you want to play a different class for PvP. I'd rather you were able to have different PvP abilities per class, but even then it would be better to do a reset with seals rather than marks.

This would be super demoralizing if you end up not being very good at the job you already bought abilities for. Or whatever job you originally picked gets balanced so much in a future update you don't like the play style of it anymore. Or you're just sick of playing that job because hey you've done like 500-1,000 matches with it. Then you're either on a job you don't want to play anymore trying to get 100 wins so you can switch, or on a job with no warwolf gear or abilities as a relatively (or very) high rank probably going against other high ranks who have tons of abilities and gear. Yay!

Agree. It would be great if they did something to make the armory system more useful.

Please no. I commend you for thinking outside of the box. But please SE, keep PvE and PvP completely separate.

Your PvP rank is part of your GC, so it seems logical to allow skill resets with GC seals.

Bottom line, it should not be so difficult for players to PvP with multiple jobs. There are several good options:

    1. Reduce reset cost to something reasonable.
    2. Add an option to reset skills with GC seals.
    3. Add separate skills for each job.
    4. Remove the cooldown for changing GC.

This would suck - why would you require PvE to do something in PvP? If anything is done to currency, that currency should still be unlocked via PvP.

Same reason PvE focused players are looking at the i90 PvP gear and determining if some of them are upgrades over the PvE i90 gear, depending on stats on either piece.

Having to do a little PvE (or crafting/gathering for daily turn ins) for seals would be getting off easy in comparison to the grind for i90 PvP gear. Only one that could really complain would be a Marauder wanting an Extreme Mode/Coil weapon since relic weapons are job only.

No offense, but anyone who is not a dedicated PvP player won't be seeing that i90 PvP gear any time soon. It takes 120+ hours of winning to get rank 30, and that's assuming ALL wins and all queue pops + match prep + matches are under 5 minutes.

Even if they did, this shouldn't be the case and hopefully SE would address this issue in itemization. You should not have to go through weeks of non-stop PvP to get a top-end PvE item.

yeah i can see that pvp gear is gonna get a nerf or pve gear will allow materia for high lvl gear. i met many pve coil players in pvp grinding for rank 30 because they think ilvl 90 pvp gear will be better

edit sorry for the off topic reponse here, last of the day post b4 until post reset

tbh it has been so long since i played wow that i cant say for certain which class got nerf so badly for pvp arena, but i do know that it did happen ...but if i remember it right, i beleive the druid class got nerfed to oblivion and maybe paladin...i dont remember

    1. just because a bunch people agreed on something, doesnt mean it true. history is loaded with examples of this. but let use FFXIV 2.0 for today example:
Wars was universally shunned due to the perception that Wars cant do endgame(and tbh, this view hasnt change in 2.1, ppl still do prefer pld to war all the time) so badly that SE took away our self healing aspect and turn us into a pseudo mitigation tank with self heals just so we could be "viable". Wars could do Endgame content, in fact, i seen several WARs tank coil 5 pre 2.1. the problem with the War tank that it requires alot of reactive thinking for damage... alot of wars tried to play the tank like a pld by using a proactive approach.while war did had some damage mitigation issues, it was a good tank to used at endgame.it true fault that everyone went into sheep mode and shiun wars from endgame.

    people perception =/= reality

2.i never said, imply or insinuate that everyone is "bad" or im a "a god at pvp" or any nonsense like that. all i said and will continue to say is: if you are having such problems that you (not directed at you, but in a more general sense of the reader) cant kill a class i.e. casters, then you need to evaluate what are you doing wrong, instead crying nerf. i mean , after all, let say SE do nerf all casters classes for pvp (i mean that what all you melee balancers really want: nerf casters to oblivion in pvp and thus make melee dps king in pvp....which will only later result in your class being nerfed later on, but let not think about a future problems in the present) and you still lose to caster or other players in general....tell me, are those classes are still "OP" or was it simply a l2p issue you were having? i am curious to see pvp 2.2 when all casters classes will get nerfed and what will be your new excuse when you and other on this forum are still having problem?

ok 1.st look at my character lvl...its lvl 15, which mean i can only post 3 times b4 the forum lockout.

    2. i dont need to "defend" a class. it isnt real, alive or have any effect on my personal life. at the end of the day, FFxiv and all it contain is just pixels...pixels that isnt worth getting angry over.what happen to casters classes wont affect me in pvp, as im a melee (war/mrd/gla/pld and soon mnk/drg) player. my only issue with this "OMG NERF CASTER CLASSES" that players like you gonna realized that you need to learn how pvp, whether it happen it other classes getting nerf or not.

3.you are pretty arrogant, arent you? let assume i did had the post to response to you yesterday, i still wouldnt have responded...not because i didnt had any comeback for you, but for the reason that i dont live on this forum. i do other things than debating a brick wall that believe it right and all who say otherwise is wrong.please note that i wont respond to you after this as you arent worth my 2 other post.
