how can end game be epic if we can hit multiple enemys?

Let me put it this way: mobs you AoE are redshirts from a Star Trek episode, while the bosses are actual named opponents from the episode. You can mow down redshirts by the dozens and nobody would bat an eye, but unless the boss is a jobber you wouldn't be able to kill him that easily. It's the same formula across the board for multiple genres, video games, literature, or movies. You never see Picard/Luke/Dynasty Warrior hero of choice/Link/Name your own hero spending an entire episode/game/book dealing with one measly peon. Why? Because it's not epic, and it's boring as hell.

XIV will never have epic fights, it will have good ones and some that require some tactics, but not ever epic. Nore was XI ever ever ever in anyway Epic.

God this is pointless. Everyone has opinions on what is "Epic" I for one think the XI end game content was just fine. I did not play wow but I did play LOTRO, and it was too easy to get gear. I want goals, and SE can deliver once they fix the game, right now.... not so much.

Your point would be alot more valid if it wasnt for the fact nukes suck damage wise compared to melees focusing on one mob. You can quote me on this, as a mage that does end game. Dotting still does more damage than nukes do

what ever you can do with 40 people i can do alone, remember the whole point to ffxiv solo = group.
you can reach the cap to lv50 alone and most likely future cap's , i bet there gonna do it with end game as well. MMO's are made for noobs now the second of it being remotely challenging people are gonna whine and say the game sucks then go away, SE just wants money more people more money so there making it where anyone can get to the top with out effort.

every MMO that you used need skill to finsh things they tossed it out the window now every thing is bum rush and win, hardcore dont exist anymore.
