Can´t get the Rank 5 Subscription reward at the 2.1 release?

Dunno if it was just me who assumed you could get all the new Sub Rewards(Behemoth Mount, GC Leader minions etc) at the release of 2.1. If it isn´t the case then this thread doesnt matter. Otherwise please read on.

I went into the Mog Station and read this

"The subscription period can be extended to a maximum of 180 days per transaction.
Your 60-Day Game Time Card cannot be redeemed if your subscription has 120 days or more of remaining game time."

I got 33 days left now so I´m wondering if I now wouldn´t be able to get the Sub Rewards at the release of 2.1(should those rewards be released at that time)?

Can someone make this clear for me^^;

EDIT: Ok I can now clarify that this is as we all feared. I bought 3x 60-days Time Card and could only use two because after using two it said I had 149 days left which exceeds the 120 limit. I now have to wait 29 days to be able to use my 3rd card to reach the Rank 5 Reward.

If you pay with a time card to extend your sub to the relevant limit AND the new vet rewards are released then you should be able to get them.

If you pay by debit/credit card though then you'll have to wait until your current subscription period expires as the rewards are only credited to your account when you are charged.

Edit: Yeah actually even a time card is still limited to the 180 cap. Will have to wait until we're three months in before we can extend it enough to get the 6 month rewards.

FYI these are veteran rewards and I never liked how they were credited ahead of time anyway. It's nice to have them actually be... ya know, for veterans, rather than just players who spend money upfront.

I refuse to acknowledge the term "veteran" anyway. There is no such thing. See, that's the thing with the argument in this thread . . . one half of people want goodies immediately because they paid for them . . . and the other half thinks you have to have PLAYED for x-amount of time and somehow "earned" them. You do NOT earn "veteran" rewards. They just end up in your inventory because you had that much time to waste. And then people THINK they are somehow "elite" because they have some silly cosmetic tidbit . . . but they aren't. I have seen some long-time players who are absolutely TERRIBLE at a game - terrible enough that even if they were my best friend I wouldn't group with them to save my life - but hey, they have some "vet reward" so they automatically think they know everything there is to know and flash the vet reward like it is some sort of honor or achievement. LOL.

Now, I CAN understand how some folks who put effort and time into the game want to feel they achieved something. However I do not believe vet rewards are the way. Reading the patch note, I see this new commendation system, and as you play, and make friends, and accomplish things with your fellow community, you get great and positive feedback. I like this new system and am excited to see it in play. If you want me to respect you as a "veteran", it'll be because of your reputation, NOT because of some stupid blow-up-doll minion you happily have bouncing next to you.

With that said - I say let people have their toys and items to play with if it makes them happy . . . and relish in your own time played with the reputation system to truly show your own effort. If you want to TRULY earn a "veteran reward", earn a good reputation and get the rewards they are giving for that.

Yep, same for me. SE managed to even screw up on something that trivial. Look forward to it (as many people realize that this corrat on the stick is a lie).

I wouldn't call it a "screw up"..more like getting more money out of you in the long run (they are a business afterall.)

They don't get any more or less money out of someone who pays for, say, two 6 month sub periods in a row versus someone who paid one 6 month period and then, 6 months later, paid another. They'd actually benefit more from the former because they get their money right away. xD

I signed up for 180 days up front...it's going to be a while before I get to re-up my sub I think.
