Agree. Current lockout on a mid level dungeon that's not even needed is laughable. Pathetic attempt at longevity.
Something to do when your bored I guess. Stinks cause this could have been a FUN TIMESINK to gear alts.
But considering all you can do is watch tons of gear rot. Know I personally will never have the stomach to join in on such blasphemy.
The loot system blows... but for me, the queueing takes the cake.

I don't mind the loot system. I actually wish Coils loot system was similar because I'd rather be able to run a dungeon more that once a week for a chance at loot or for run
(still get tomes even when you're loot locked).
I do think something needs to be done about accidental rolling / obtaining items that haven't been rolled on etc.
Personally I have never seen an item hit the ground. I have all the jobs leveled but only 2 are full ilvl 90, so if I see a drop I don't have a 90 for and I can greed it I do.One item per week is stupid for a multitude of reasons.
1. People don't roll greed, so items get wasted.
2. People don't roll need on items they genuinely need because they're looking for a specific slot, perhaps to cure their case of clown disease.
3. People accidentally roll greed because the game allows this everywhere else without any penalty and end up with items they didn't actually need but can't loot anything else for the week.
Please fix this. This is beyond stupid and infuriating.
Funny, because I rarely ever see anything being lot on. It is sad to see gear just drop to the ground because people are too scared to touch it.
I've done CT where every single item in our party got trashed.
The lock out should be on a per boss basis at the very least, not once per entire run.
Not guaranteed at all. You could run CT every day for a week and never see a drop to roll on and, even if you do, there's no guarantee you'll win it.
For players who has their battle class/jobs all capped, I think this wouldn't even matter. It's kinda win-win situation.
Last week I got BLM hat. Just today, I got MNK body. Not bad.
But.... this does bode another space problems. lol
Best fix for this is to add a reward system for passing. Every time you pass on an item you get a coin that vendors for 10k.
Square enix has been trying to take gil out of the economy, so unfortunately this wouldn't work (Would just add more back in.)
But I do think a token system similar to myth/philo for tower gear would be nice, if we could grind extra tomes to get extra armor of our choice (Just in case the RNG dicks us for that week, so I don't have to run tower 12 more times just at the hopes of a single drop.)
