Duty Roulette: Low Level. Needs fixing.

you're not doing yourself - or others - a favour if you keep using duty roulette and keep being thrown into sastasha and so on. it's actually kind of annoying when I go on my .actually. lowbie character/class, would really like to get all the chests and so on since I can .use. those things, just to have 1-2 higher level characters burning through the run, and when you ask them to slow down they are telling you that they are bored of it and just need the xp because they run it x numbers of times a day (and pointing out the randomness of the roulette) they don't .know. that I'm actually an experienced whm when I play on my lowbie char conjurer. a new character would be completely lost with that type of 'speed running' where sastasha takes 15 minutes.
(and I let a tank die on purpose a few days ago because he ran straight for the first boss instead of following the two dps and myself, going for the chest)

that's not the purpose of the douty roulette, you're just using it like that. if you want fast xp, please, use the new party finder.

That treasure chests are being skipped, as well as that people try to semi-speedrun (with all the tactics that come with it).

I won't say it is a bad thing, you just need to keep in mind that one of the party members might not be used to the dungeon yet and help accordingly. Most of the time a few short sentences are enough to get someone to understand what you are doing, and what you expect them to do.

Whenever I am playing a low level job and I see that there are chests that we missed that give interesting items I usually run back alone after the dungeon is finished. That way I'm sure to get it too, haha.

Well no shit, I get it. I mean, what reason she had to bitch about it to me? I'm sorry she had bad experience with some ppl in dungeons, but this doesn't mean you can lament about it to some random ppl on the forum. I don't skip treasure chests of my iniziative and if ppl wants to get them I'm all up for it. (since I'm leveling WHM I can use more mobs exp anyway)

What the hell takes you 40-60 min? No seriously. I have done DFR and mostly ended up in the lvl 15 dungeons and they NEVER take ANYWHERE NEAR that long.

Also getting stuck in a primal battle in DFR is the WORST thing ever. OK Ifrit was damned easy. But both Garuda's I have been stuck on where total hell. Tanks in a 46? capped fight wearing 35 gear so nearly every attack is a one shot. Having to teach people 40 times over what to do.

also, it was wrongly explained (not a wrong point, just not my main point). my point was exactly what I underlined in my last post. I'll try it again, and now, if this doesn't apply to you, don't feel like this is about you. my goodness.




if you don't like the xp outcome of the other dungeons, DON'T USE DUTY ROULETTE.
use the party finder instead and do the higher level dungeons manually.

the rest was just the explanation why you're not doing yourself .or others. a favour if you keep using duty roulette even after already getting your daily reward.
