Didn't roll on a piece of gear instantly. Party left. Defaulted the item to me. Now I own a piece of gear for a class I don't want to play. And I can't even get a piece of gear for a class I want to play this week.

FML.

This just happened to me as well, I was in CS after boss died and before I could even look at loot list it auto dropped into my inventory because every1 left.

Is there any plan to change this lock out to a 1 per week greed, or 1 per week need, a default drop seems unfair be locked out for a whole week.

Did you join in with a full party using Party Finder with 'watch cutscenes'? If not then you run the risks of this happening. From now on just skip the cutscene. It would be unfair to just let 'whoever defaults it gets it' to bypass the loot limit, otherwise people will just wait the 5 minutes for it to tick down without rolling, and if someone does roll vote-kick them.

I am ps3, my load time is a bit slower, I hit skip CS as soon as I could, I understand the possibility of people taking advantage, but there are also people getting screwed over.

Then either queue up with a friend or Party Finder a group specifying PS3. PS3 players can see who's on PS3 with Examine where as PC players cannot. If they don't have a PSN ID listed when you examine them, kick them (before queuing) and replace them.

1. SE staff on holiday and will be out for a few days, so dont expect any responses...

2. its been a known issue that this can happen, so you have 3 choices, dont run it by yourself so you ensure at least 1 friend is there to not leave so you have time to pass, dont run it till they fix the issue, or if your the only one and know your load is slow say something so everyone does not run out instantly causing the loot to default to you.

This is going to catch countless people out and burn their weekly loot lockout in coil. Needs be rectified ASAP really. For the moment people should be passing as quickly as they can on loot and skipping cut-scenes, but it doesn't actually fix the problem.


SE, can we have a loot lockout in CT that doesn't end up locking people out of loot if it drops to them by default (i.e. everyone else passes)? I don't care how you do it, but you're going to lose subscriptions when players get burnt by this. Thanks.

Actually what was probably a really good idea from the start was putting CT on a reset timer of a day or two, and doing away with the loot lockout completely.
