Treasure Maps - Please Fix Them...

During the Live Letter we were told a few things about Treasure Maps...

1) Can only Collect one every 18 hours -
OK well... give us a timer somewhere... Maybe the Timers menu would be good, or at least in our Gathering Log.

2) We can only have one Deciphered Map -
Understood, not a bad limit, not great either

3) We can stockpile some maps and do them all at once.
Wrong. We were mislead. You can NOT hold multiples of the same type of map. This is perhaps the best new addition that came out of this patch, but we can't do it the way we would prefer and the way we were told we would be able to. I want to hold on to 4-5 maps and complete them when I have the time on Saturday... But I can't. Fix this.

You can hold on to 4 maps, decipher one, hold on to one, and 2x in your retainer.

Lol... semantics at their very best. Yoshi clearly said we would be able to hold onto multiple maps so we could find them for a few days and then do them all in one sitting. Sticking 2 on a retainer and going back and forth is not what was described.

I 100% agree... I want this item to be tradable and to be able to hold many of them. Holy crap treasure hunting is fun! I would buy them just so i could do them more often. heh heh

Ohh yes, please add a timer.

Also if i have 1 already in my inventory and i catch an identicle one and throw it back? does the timer reset and mean i cant catch one for another 18 hours?

can mail to each other been using this as a means to buy em up cheap off market and accumlate alot. Just mail to your fellow fc mates that you know you will be doing them with this way as you teleport from map to map people can just visit the moogle for another map rather then retainers.

I completely agree. We really need a timer and I remember being told we would be able to hold multiple maps as well.

Would definitely like the timer to show up in the Timers section. Not too concerned about accumulating them though. I usually go out everyday and do them if I'm not myth capped. I gotta throw one on my retainer tonight before I gather enough Piesteskin one.

Treasure Map farming has proven to be quite lucrative. Not so much in terms of gil (although the 1600-5000 a pop isn't bad) but moreso the Myth tomes. 5-15 per map and we usually do a full party's worth of maps at a time. I think I was at 50 myth for one night's worth of doing them. Not bad for not having to grind dungeons.
