PvP feature request, custom matches

I never played PvP in a MMO before. However, since 2.1 came out, it is one of my favourite features (although I must admit the sleeping is annoying, but that's not why I am posting).

With all of my enjoyment of PvP it's flawed with it's lack of one major feature, in my opinion, and that's a fully pre-made 4v4. Not as in having a 4-man pre-made party like is already available, but two 4-man pre-made parties willingly putting their brain and brawn to the test! Of course the obvious thing to do would be to offer no experience or marks for it, as people will abuse the situation. However, it would be nice to do some friendly tournaments. Be it within your linkshell or Free Company, or FC versus FC.

I'm in a Free Company that quite frequently performs social events in game, and this is definitely one, personally, I would love to see!

It would also, if this is implement, be nice to allow the rules to be set in this. Of course, players can choose to join depending on the rules. Suggestions would include:
1: Party structure. i.e. must the party be 1 Tank, 2 DPS, 1 Healer etc. or can it be a custom make-up
2: A timer
3: Make the limit break available (just an idea, neither for nor against this but it's always good to have options)
4: Food/pots and any other items (again, just an idea)
5: Level, since there is already the available levels in the duty finder, allow the fight to be capped at any of these

I'm sure some people might have their own suggestions also.

Will be really looking forward to it if and when they do implement it.

There is LB in PvP. Just it takes too bloody long to even get 1 bar. Unless your team goes on a Raise spree.

It did some a little unclear since I said "available", but my meaning was make it available/unavailable. But since it is quite slow, a modifier could be implemented, or if SE just increases the rate of build. Although when people get more PvP gear, the matches could perhaps go on longer (I am kind of hoping, since the 2 minute wait lasts longer than most matches).

More options are always welcome, a custom battle feature would be awesome, letting us hold matches vs. FC members would be so much fun.

In our server group we are usually always matched up against the same teams time and time again - it shouldn't be hard to match up two premades as you are suggesting even with the system as-is. You may be surprised by how few 4-man teams there are.

Yeah, I have noticed that happen. But it would make it so much easier for organising PvP events, as I mentioned like FC face offs :P
