    Duty Roulette and CopperBell Mines (HM)

    Why is it that people who get into Copperbell Mines (Hard Mode) instantly abandon the duty (unlss they are doing the Party-in-Progress join?)

    Yes, if you end up with 2 DPS as the same class you may either have only a slow AoE LB or no Damage LB, but that is no reason to abandon. Copperbell Mines Hard Mode is not nearly as scary as people seem to think it is. Yes, the final boss is a pain in the rear for melee if the Tank is being an idiot and tanking on the sand (and not stunning Mercurial Swing).

    Following applies to all high-level instances:
    Also can someone explain why people abandon a duty without even trying once? I've ended up with 3 High Level PiP roulettes where when I joined only 4 minutes had ticked by (at most) and 2-3 players had already abandoned w/o doing the first pull.

    At this point people just want their tomes. The new HM dungeons has a certain failure rate that most aren't willing to deal with.

    I don't understand what the hell mister director was thinking, making those new dungeons so much harder than the old AK while rewarding level 60 gear no one needs. Of course some will not want to do them. They will just leave and queue again later to see if they get AK or WP.

    The only one I've failed in is Pharos Sirius. The others I aced with over 30 minutes left on the clock and they both drop 50 Myth making it worth 90.

    But I've also had AK where everyont (but one) abandoned it right off...

    Copperbell HM is easy.. I guess if people can't be bothered with learning fight mechanics, it could be hard. But, the same could be said for any instance. I've already taught quite a few groups how to get through the place, and at least 50% were just geared enough for the instance. If they listened, we won, if they ignored me, they died a horrible death, many times in one fight.. and that was common no matter the gear level.

    Paying attention, heeding advice, and learning from mistakes is just too much for a large portion of the MMO crowd. Raging out and quitting is the only way they can cope.

    Some pugs wall on first boss. I like the new hard modes personally, and have gotten some nice groups that rolled through pretty swiftly.

    Did Copperbell earlier as BRD BRD WHM WAR. No limit break? No problem. Just don't be bad and the dungeon will be a total joke.

    Do you even really need to limit break in Copperbell Hard? I usually end up with good groups who down things so easily we just sorta forget we even had the LB to begin with

    Copperbell Mines can be really easy with the right party(read: one that listens to advice and performs the roles they're given), or hell with the wrong ones. Personally, I ran it twice in the DR today and got both variations, both in the Join in Progress option(the first's tank left as soon as he saw the first boss, the second's abandoned them at the start). First party had us going at the boss for a good twenty minutes before I had to just give up, while the second party was actually...great. Most of them were new, but they listened and performed as best they could.

    Define harder?

    Because old AK was 25 - 30 minutes ones you get down to it

    If you know Copperbell well, you can do it around 30, you can speed run Haukke in about 20 and sirius I've only done it about 5 times, averaging 30-35 minute

    Is different, for sure, but i don't think it's harder...

    P.S 50 tomes > 40 tomes (old AK)


    Old AK was just doable in some AF gear + DL accesories group, i am sure its the same with copperbell and haukke, but sirius will take a bit more figuring out to try that
