Error 2002 - Can't log in

"The lobby server connection has encountered an error." - 2002

It happened right after error 9000 and so far I haven't been able to connect to any Data Center.

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

Yeah same. Either of you get in yet?

Nope. I flushed dns, checked ports, nothing. by passed router. Checked net connection... I can't seem to find what is causing this.

From what I understand 2002 is server congestion. I'm familiar with server congestion and trying to log in game. This one seems to work a little different from the ones I am familiar with.

This is still happening.....can't connect to ANY data server at all. Very annoying....

I'm attempting a reinstall now. No idea why I would need one, but I want to eliminate all possible issues on my end. I'll post if this corrects the issue.

I've been having the same issue since I re subscribed a couple of days ago. Reinstall did not fix it for me.

Same thing has been happening to me for now going on 5 days get to data center selection and then I get Lobby server has encountered an error.I have done everything I can think of from rolling back Windows updates to full re install of game and updating every driver I have and still cant log in. Have gotten to character selection screen once in the 5 days I have encountered problem.Prior to issue had no problem logging in.Any Help with this matter would be much appreciated as I am at the point of just completely canceling my sub and account and going back to WoW.

Since the update last night, I am unable to get past the 2002 error. Nothing has changed on my computer. The only thing that is different is the update to FFXIV. Thinking of uninstalling the game then reinstalling. This is a bit frustrating.

Edit: no change after reinstalling....bah
