. Arena net and whatnot said straight up the game will be done when its done. And that is great. SE makes bad decisions and ends up shipping out a game that is a mere shadow of what it should have been according to early dev videos. The best pace is a pace that isnt teathered to a specific release date. Say it is done when it is done and you have all the time in the world.

So basically SE shouldn't set dates like "mid-June" at all and just say "it's done when it's done"? I don't agree.

Although they have been doing just that for the past half a year. They won't release their major overhauls before they're done, and the community criticizes them for it. They can't win. I wouldn't be surprised if you have done the exact same thing too. Which would be hypocritic, so I hope not.

AOC is a bigger game and that got fixed with a less experence dev team in a fraction of the time square needs.

That game wasn't even half as broken as XIV is, and their "fixes" were laughable in scope compared to what SE is attempting to do. So, about right.
