At this point all it can be is blind pessimism or blind optimism if Jobs will reach patch 1.18, nobody except the dev team really knows for sure.

Yeah I wish I would have seen that quest part, as that was a big portion of my argument. I think it's more than safe to infer that because quests, armor, and weapons are implemented that jobs will be also, so thanks for pointing that out. That was the whole reason I started the thread. Maybe it's blind pessimism that we won't see them in 1.18, but c'mon. Auto-attack, battle system adjustments, no phys level, dungeons, jobs, (companies content?)....all this in a single patch when we haven't had a single major update since release???? I seriously doubt it.
I don't know what the hell you're reading but you might want to go back to school to better your reading comprehension. If you think jobs are coming this month you are delusional, period.

Take a look at the table in the last letter again, or my other posts in this thread. Clear evidence that jobs probably will not even be in the game by the end of the summer.

How would they implement this without the job system? Especially since it says stage by stage implementation on the JSE. I'm not seeing any logic behind you're statements; but if you're right, and SE doesn't add jobs in 1.18, that would be just flat out idiotic.
Oh yeah, I don't know if you read the rest of my original post or if you just found that one line so you could throw your argument out again, but I'm clearly not optimistic about this game in the slightest, so I don't know where you're pulling delusional from (your ass, perhaps?).
P.S.
Hey Ichi, I haven't been on in awhile because I've been busy (and to be honest, bored of the game) but I'll be on after 1.18 if you want to let the ls know so they don't kick me out or something.

Well, while i don't doubt it I do agree that it is a little confusing (the letter) and if you want to look at the facts super strictly then yes, doubt of implementation is reasonable.Yeah I wish I would have seen that quest part, as that was a big portion of my argument. One other thing i want to add is that a lot of players in this thread on both sides of the argument have just been posting flames against he opposing side without precursor. Seriously guys those kinds of comments don't help anything.

I agree Ichi, and I apologize Xeno. What I posted was unwarranted. Guess I'll just hope for the best in the next couple of weeks :/
Hopefully we will be seeing the patch this coming week, Koronos!![]()

It's all good dude. I'm just hoping for a release next week, since I'll be out of town for two weeks after that. This patch is this last straw for me and I just want to get it over with lol.
I hope so ^_^
Well unlike combat system or quest systems etc, a job system is more a mental problem then a physical programing problem.
Very little relative program code need to be changed depending on how they approach it. It's been more of a "get it right", then anything.
Though "getting it right" haven't been FF14's forte so that might be why it's taking so long.
On a very basic level, a job in MMO is nothing more then a selective grouping of skills and stats.

i did include balancing twice for a reason. they will not get it right the first time and will take multiple attempts. all of the things i listed are new stuff to be hard coded in not just selecting things. that being said i still do not believe they will have the new jobs out in this patch. they may have them out by the end of summer, but i feel so much new stuff added will lead to major balancing issues i do not think they are capable of handling at one time.

Well, I hope Job is coming in this mid-June patch. too many people stop playing now with long period no update.
