I guess I can understand his feelings, but I do think he deserves the loot just as much as the next guy who can hit need. It's like when I took my Zenith DRG into Titan, and the Spear of the Crags dropped. Sure, I can hit pass because I already have the Zenith spear, but I wanted the piece for completions sake. So I hit need, and I'm not abashed about that.

You earn what you're in there as the class you're on. You can discuss the idea of passing beforehand, but for someone to try and strongarm you into (You should pass because you have BLM body already! - when you could use it on SMN, if you chose to. Or cosmetics in 2.2) is much worst in my opinion.
