    Create more single player lockouts...

Honestly there needs to be more single player lock outs that teach players the game.
Its pretty ridicules I'm this late in the game and I can't duty finder/PUG knowing the players are competent at their job.
People that earn their way through get stuck with players that have no idea what they're doing.
This is what happens when you carry people through the game

Do you know who is taking the 30min penalty? Not this guy because he wants to be carried.
If you players carrying other players through the game really wanted to help you would teach them how to play instead of giving them the fish.

To be fair nothing requires a WAR to pick up provoke I until end game. Even then it's not til turn 2 pre 2.1

If he is moderately new you can't blame him. It isn't teaching someone to play their class if it isn't needed until a couple fights in coil. Hell the new primals are the first time most tanks will see tank swap if they weren't doing at least T2 before the patch. Way to be a dick.

At least he wants to do it. and tank swap doesn't happens until T2, and we all know how exclusive T2 groups are for new people.

I've waited 40 mins for Ultima, got in. Healer says "kill him to me I've been trying for 3h", then is the first to quit after Ifrit kills three people. I doubt he was even healing, the tank simply died in the first phase.

We need to do something about this first, people expecting to get carried instead of trying.

I think Provoke is a great ability to have as a warrior, but honestly not required. This to me says the team cannot adapt. Lets say you do Ifrit with no Mage to LB 3 the nails, you just quit? and say the Melee DPS want to be carried? No you adapt. You get a duo warrior group on ifrit, you create a stun rotation. You get low DPS on AK, you figure out new ways to do Demon wall. I have had 4 monks on a Ifirt run and 4 bards on titan so we couldnt count on their limit on heart [hase or nail phase but we adapt. If you want to play a cookie cutter build all the time, then duty finder is not for you. Start an FC recruit 1 WAR, 1 PLD, 1 MNK 1 DRG, 1 BRD, 1 BLM, 1 SCH and 1 WHM. Monk and DRg should level alternatively BRD, BLM, SMN and a Tank another DPS or healer. Then you will be set for most content and wont have any trouble unless you cant adapt to new fights either.

How do you do tank swapping without provoke? I'm all for adapting to different play styles and setups, but at least I can't figure out how it could be done here.

Ifrit with no Magic dps just requires melee dps to lb the nails, simple that is a DPS solution not a full party solution. That's 1 phase not the entire instance like this situation is.
You don't need LB for heart on titan if dps knows their rotation and is properly geared.

The thing about endgame content is there is little to no room for "Adaptation"/ Error
And didn't try to adapt? We ran it 2 times, the only other way of trading aggro as someone said "The rule of thumb would be to stop dpsind when you hit 2 stacks, jeiobi." that didn't happen.
    DPS gates are DPS focused
    Tanking is Tank focused
    Healing is Healer focused
It's out of everyone's hands if someone in a role isn't doing their jobs there is no Adaptation to be had.

And this isn't the only instance I'm talking about.
There is a difference between learning a new boss and making the same error 4-5 times and not knowing rotations.

You can tank swap without Provoke, but you have to be on the ball with your enmity gain and make sure you are JUST behind the other player. They will have to stop building enmity (cast Stoneskin ... go for debuff combo rotations etc.) if you watch your enmity right it takes 1-2 actions without provoke... 10s tops (5 actions)

If this guy doesn't even know what provoke is I doubt he's a good enough tank to not need it.

And your average player who actually takes their class/job seriously takes the time to get their important cross class skills before they attempt anything that's more difficult than your average story progression. If this guy couldn't be bothered leveling his Gladiator to 22 for Provoke then I highly doubt he's going to be competent enough to ride the other tanks' aggro to the point where he could easily pull it off him before he hit 5 stacks.
