Cannot progress with main story quest In the grim darkness of the forest

Steps:
1. I've been given a quest by Rosalinde to check out the dark figure in the north of the shroud
2. Went to the north shroud, at the northern part of the north shroud there is a bridge, at the end of the bridge there was a destination (a dark spot which I could click, and a casting bar appeared) which began a duty instance
3. In this duty I had to kill Ixolots with some npc (he rode in on a chocobo and started to tank the birds), when it ended the quest stopped
4. Cannot abandon it, the map button doesn't work, there isn't any sort of indication on the map where to go and what to do, all I know is that I have to search for some shadowy figure, but it cannot progress anywhere
