I'd hate to see something that clash with the aesthetics, consistent and commendable, the game has now so you'd find me against the idea of ​​Quina-like people. Instead I'd like Viera for two reasons: may seems silly but there are lots of Miqo'te and I think other races could hardly compete with that sex appeal bringing some variety. It is also a FF we're talking about, references are almost always well received and Viera are loved by many.

Padjial are already there and their horns steal a card at any demonic race so why not develop them further like adding a darker sub clan. I even like that they would take the empty "height gap" between Miqo'te and Lalafell.

To experience something different I could appreciate something that wink at nature like an embellished version of Guado. I can already see them invading the Black Shroud!

Yoshi thrown an idea of a reptilian race, fascinating but keeping in mind the 2/3 humanoid standards the realisation seems hard.
