Macro to change class: gear AND ACTIONS on crossbar

I'm running out of slots on action bars.

Playing Archer, Bard, Conjurer, Leatherworker, Marauder, Weaver, Carpenter, Miner, etc.

For example to switch from Conjurer to Archer with a macro:

• switch to Archer (using Character Menu & Equipment Sets)
• AND switch Bar 1 from Conjurer Actions
• to Archer Actions

... all with one click?

If not, I'm constantly rearranging icons for actions.

Is there a way to stop FFXIV from automatically adding an action to hotbar? For example, if I level up Lancer ... an action icon automatically appears on my hotbar and messes-up my organizational system.

Ummm every job has thier own bars. My guess is you are sharing all your bars. I think its in settings and under hot bars where you can pick what bars you want to share. And also under character there's a list you can pick at the top. Go there and it mess with it so you can make gear sets for easy change between jobs. I feel sorry for you, it must be very hard to be playing the way you are playing.

You mean I'm trying to play too many classes?

Thought about starting over with another character, going through the whole story line.

I want to experience all the skills.

Also thought leveling all classes to 20 or 30 would allow for more cross-class options.

Just wondering why you feel sorry for the way I'm playing.

I think he means sorry for you suffering with shared hotbars. Its in your configuration menu. Unclick the "share" boxes and each job will have its own hot bar set-ups activate when you swap to it. If you have them shared, then all the jobs share all the same bars.

It has to be sharing options.
I have all but 1 craft to 30 and I have 3 Lv50 jobs and I don't have this issue at all. When I change from DRG to WHM, all my DRG skills go away and my WHM skills appear. Only a hotbar with things like mounts and teleport remain for all jobs.

It is a option to choose which crossbars are shared or not.

I share cross bars 5 to 8 to all classes
Crossbars 6&7 have all the gear switches for all DoM/DoW/DoL & DoH

That means that I have for each class 4 individual crossbars (64 slots)

You could also for example lets imagine you have 3 classes and don t share all crossbars :
- On class one set a Slot for GEAR_Class2
- On class two set a Slot for GEAR_Class3
- On class three set a Slot for GEAR_Class1

So you would just cycle through your classes until finding the one you want (can be bothersome IMHO but works too)

You should read answer before mocking people, just unshare your bar and switch job using the equipments set and you'll have 8 full cross bar for each job. Personnally I share only the first one for mount, teleport, home point... and another for craft macro and I don't display these two when fighting. that mean I have 6 crossbars for each other job.

I have almost all class to 50.

for your other problem, I don't know any option for game to stop adding new macro on crossbar 1.
