When does the game start to be fun ?

It says you're level three. You can get to level three without even leaving town just by talking to NPCs and running errands for them. Mix in quests, FATEs, Hunting Log, GuildLeves and GuildHests, which you'll gain access to soon. Once you hit fifteen you can start mixing in dungeons.

EDIT: Checked Lodestone. So, you're level 9 now. So you should have unlocked Leves by now and be well into the story. Just keep mixing up the quests with FATEs. You should easily be finished with your first Hunting Log now. And make sure you're keeping up with your class quests.

It's not much of a grind if you're keeping up with all the quests and jumping in on FATEs when you run across them.
