Expecting another permit fee for small housing basements come 2.2

Anyone else have this feeling we'll be expected to pay another permit fee when the small housing gets it's basement upgrade? I know I'm half expecting it and so is my FC. Is there any word on how this will work? What is the layout? What happens to our stuff when they add in this new layout? Will stuff magically disappear or will we have furniture in walls and floating in the air? Would really like to know this. So my Housing and all the hard work we've put into it doesn't get ruined.

If anyone could shed some light on this matter. It would be most appreciated.

I have never expected to pay another fee as YoshiP said " A basement room will be added and floor space doubled, with the ability to build an underground workshop underneath this basement space. For a 7 or 8 person free company, this size will be much more accommodating, so please consider purchasing a small size house knowing that it will be more spacious with the coming update.."

So I think we need to pay for the "underground workshop" but not the "basement room for small house".
