Please let us disable battle music

I love the games music, best Ive heard in an MMO.

However, battle music is great, but having it blast epic music every 10 seconds when questing and killing stuff does get old. This is when it would be nice just to have the normal map music playing the whole time.

I agree about it being annoying, especially when I try to listen to the music in the Black Shroud. I just go into settings, turn off all background music and listen to my own

It never ceases to amaze me that RPGs have so few battle themes, since you invariably spend a good portion of the game battling.

kinda agree with u, pharos music is awesome but .....u cant never heard more than 10s

FFXI battle themes were awesome never ever got bored of it in all my years playing

FFXIV 1.0 had some rock battle themes that i loved sadly werent implemented in 2.0

Please, please make this an option! I love the FFXIV background music. But the battle theme is just getting so old at this point. We can disable chocobo music, why not the battle theme as well?

This was a popular thread a few months ago. Glad to see this request resurfaced again. Battle music can get annoying after so long and some of the places in Eorzea have such beautiful music! I am glad we can turn off mount music, lets do battle music next!

Not always true, it's just MMOs tend to go the minimum route especially the more generic ones. 1.0 had tons of battle themes, XI has a ton of battle theme, XIV's is the same battle theme with different instrumentation.
