    Your primary stat on SCH is MND. a bit of DET and CRIT won't make up for the loss. Unless you really need that extra HP, I don't see how this ring would be better than a MND one

    My opinions, which are probably just a restatement of stuff other people already said, but whatever.

    When it comes to weapons:
    1. Morale is a complete waste of stat allocation in PvE. No matter how much crit is on there, you're still getting a ZERO in a potential stat slot. If you love PvP, though, and are spending most of your SCH time in there, by all means go for the PvP book, but I won't be.
    2. If SCH is your main job and you're worried about BiS, you most likely already have the Omnilex Zenith, which is better than everything except Allagan (2.1 changed nothing in this regard). If you're one of those OMG-WHM-nerfs-I-better-switch-to-SCH-or-nobody-will-love-me, get the Mog book to tide you over until you can get either Omnilex Zenith or Allagan book (or the PvP book, if you're into that, but the Allagan book is still the best one).

    Everything else:
    1. Allagan Circlet is now better than Argute Mortarboard, where previously it was the same.
    2. Argute Culottes are now better than Allagan pants, where previously they were the same.
    3. Royal Shoes (CT) are probably the best boots now (if you're okay with having 3 VIT and 3 MND less than the i90 ones, that is). I already have the Allagan ones, though, and I doubt I'll bother with trying to get a sidegrade while I have alt classes to gear. PvP boots aren't too bad either, but see #1 above as to why I won't be getting them.
    4. Nothing else changed, IMO.

    Have been farming Ultima and Garuda recently, I have to say I'm pretty dissatisfied as a SCH. Our gears choice from these new bosses is pretty much non-existent, there is no reason to farm them at all. I guess in a sense I should be happy I'm not at RNG mercy, but ugh, I hate not having anything to look forward to.

    The Vortex Ring of Healing is better than the Allagan ring imo, so I would not say that your gear choices are "non-existent."

    why would you trade 4 det and 11 spell speed for 11 lol-piety. on a scholar. who have up to 3 energy drains and an aetherflow per minute
