Sell philo materials. i make a good chunk of gil doing this.oh and also farm frogskins and lambs ^^
Got CUL to 50. Still need to get CRP to 50 so I can stop relying on RNG, though. Selling Philo mats also works but they're going waaay down in price now.
I spiritbond stuff and sell the materia.
*tip- SB stuff with a critical hit value on it like Spinel accessories, sometimes it turns into savage aim 3 which sells VERY quickly.
Just don't undercut people too much, it's annoying as fuck.
You may wish to look at ways to make gil outside of selling things to other players. Try treasure hunting if you have a high enough DoL, do daily beastmen quests, do your duty roulette every week, and do all your levequests. All of these are ways to generate gil. As far as selling items to other players, it's all a matter of finding something people want, but which isn't flooded in the market, and selling it. As an example, pudding flesh and certain tier IV materia were worth a lot of money before 2.1, and while the demand is still high, certain content has flooded the market with these, making them not worth as much anymore. The philosophy tome items also suffer from this, with quests that reward those items, treasure hunts rewarding them, and philosophy tomes being easier than ever to obtain via duty roulette and beastmen quests.
I don't. I've been doing the beastman dailies and a treasure-hunt each day which has prevented my reserves from dropping too much, but since I don't really run dungeons, I'm not really making much. :-/
Before the patch, I was making a slight bit selling the fish I got while leveling and a few carpentry goods that actually went for a reasonable amount, but since the patch nobodies bought anything. :-(
Do your dailies and run dungeons if you are not efficient with selling on the market. Try doing leves as well. The leves are not a lot of gil, but its better than just letting them sit at 100 leves in your journal.
Adventure, that's the life for me!
Duty roulette and beastmen quests. Sell philo mats with the philo you get from those.
Maybe do some research? Check the market boards and listen to shouts to get a feel for what people are selling them at, and how often they sell. The situation will be different from world to world, and things change anyway. What makes money today might not make money tomorrow.
