When can we expect THF?

Several thoughts:

1) Hybrid classes stink, especially in an MMO. They often have nothing to make them stand out.

2) RDM I don't see happening anytime soon. I also don't see them coming off from Musketeers (Seriously, why would RDM come off a gun wielding class?)

3) THF might come from ARC or GLD. I wouldn't be surprised if it came off of GLD, and a special type of dagger that can go off hand.

4) THF is a job, not a class.

Rouge as a class

Rouge is a color, not a class.

RDM is going to have that spark that's going to make everyone start twerkin'. Going to bring something completely new to the table.

arcanist it's a jobs but still end into a class, class is a base. thief can perfectly be seen as Base while giving later acces to jobs like ninja or assassin.

Yoshida has said he wants to add a rogue/scout-type class to the game. Both have been interpreted as dagger classes in other games. Also keep in mind his background with DAoC, which had stealthy/rogueish classes in the form of scouts and infiltrators.
This is a loaded question. Some people will happily accept anything thrown at them by SE. Then you have others who won't. Aside from either camp you have me, who looks at this game as a way to correct the mistakes of the past and give people what they wanted for serveral years and never got. FFXI treated THF horribly, and I would hope ARR's version of it to be more of a quick rogue rather than a "steal everything and serve little purpose aside from that" job.

What I meant was that some will expect a carbon copy of what they came to expect from a job in FFXI. They might not even call it a THF if/when a rogue style class is added.

Rouge as a class, THF and DNC as jobs, are all easily Ul'dahn (Maybe put THF in Limsa to spread them out). NIN might need to wait till Radz-at-Han given the eastern influence.

Well it depends on what cultural theme they're going with Radz-at-Han.

Also that each Job in FF14 seems to relate to 1 city state each from current to ancient.

ul'dah already taken Paladin Job so Thief Job will have to go to a diffferent City State that doesn't have a Job originating from it yet.

Monk - Ala Mhigo

Dragoon - Ishgard

Bard - *unknown but the origins date back to Archers of old. Which means bard originated from a Ancient City State.

White Mage - Gridania

Black Mage - *Unknown* (It is mentioned Black Mage Society originated from a Ancient State but the name is not mentioned due to most history of Black Mages being erased)

Summoner - Allagan

Scholar - Nym
