    Even adding in a radius marker around the selected target would make it better at this point. Maybe by clicking and holding the spell's hotkey could make a radial display appear around the target? Upon release it just casts the spell like usual. I would love to have a place-able AOE heal personally however... As it stands the 6y radius did make a difference but I think creativity-wise they could take it further and add in a feel of "unique-ness" to Cure III.

    Letting you target the spell after the cast finishes instead of as you start it seems a bit strong; it turns it into an instant cast with charge up time, if you get what I'm saying. That's bad because A) it probably makes it a little TOO easy to heal, and B) it would likely be easy to game the server latency on spells like Twintania's fireballs, for instance. Start casting the spell 5 seconds before she fireballs, wait for her cast to be just about to finish, then cast. Due to latency the spell will resolve immediately AFTER the fireball and bam, everyone's topped up. Doesn't seem like a big deal there, but it's big if that same fireball effect also applied some sort of debuff that affected heals, the spell will top everyone up before the debuff is applied. It's too easy to abuse.

    I'd be amenable to a Cure 3 spell that targeted the ground instead of a player, but left the selection of the ground at the beginning of the cast instead of holding it till the end and added a small ground effect. I say small because too many effects make the game too cluttered for those with good computers, and unplayable for those with bad computers.

    Wow, I was about to make a thread with the nearly-exact same suggestion, luckily I did a search before I actually posted it.

    My written-but-not-yet-posted thread:

    Please, make Cure III GTAoE with blue circle indicator during cast time, if no target is selected by WHM.
    If a target is selected, behave as it currently does.

    GTAoE = Ground Target AoE. Just like Shadow Flare or Freeze, you get a shiny circle, you point at a place and cast away.

    I see what you are saying and agree. I didn't consider this. Maybe have it placed then casted? That would put additional placement time on WHMs however... Hmmm. Any ideas on a way around this?
