I think it's fine honestly.
I thought the loot lockout on CT was fine.
My first CT went fine, everyone knew what they were doing and if they didn't they would listen to the details of the fight and act accordingly.
Then I experienced my second CT. And it took us forever just to get to Behemoth... at which point I gave up, decided i80 isn't worth it, and left.
If this were an 8m dungeon the lockout would be fine. But having to rely on so many people just to finish the dungeon once... @_@

First off, I highly prefer CT's loot lock out compared to Coils weekly look out. With CT I am pretty much guaranteed one piece of equipment. Coil, you can run weeks and not get anything. I love Crystal Tower, in fact I am on my 7th time running it this week. I love that I can play with my FC mates that haven't gotten to go. It's a great system. As far as people complaining about alts and such. I've got War decently geared, Pld with AF2/ Allagan, SMN with AF2/DL, Sch/Whm working on full DL, Blm in full DL, and since my main (Pld) doesn't really need the CT gear its awesome, I can move it to one of my many other decently coil ready jobs.
SE remove all the locks, so people can play a week then quit and bitch how they aquired everything in a week and their is nothing to do. This way you won't have to deal with all these other complaints.. oh wait...
Can i post yet?

Back in the day they mentioned 3 rolls per week before the lockout but I guess plans change, why so entitled, etc. Then again they also mentioned how dungeons would drop the best gear and also tokens to buy gear with lower stats but it turned out quite a bit of Myth AF is better or at least equal to Coil pieces so that's another thing, arguably a better thing because you can mix and match.
I'd honestly just have RNG back and increased loot tables, maybe throw in some DoH and DoL gear too and mats. Sure Darklight had ridiculously low drop rates in 1.0 but there was always an incentive to keep running dungeons for that chance to get a lucky drop and aside from a 15 min lockdown because bad servers/artificial content extension you could run them as much as you wanted. Now that we have tokens if you never even see a CT or Allagan piece drop and keep getting Scorpion Shields and Spiked Armguards you could still buy the piece you want after 10+ runs, that's kind of what I was personally expecting in the earlier 2.0 announcement days.

Should I be playing this content with low-expectations? Why[play] at all?
~'\[[_LEGACY_]]/'~TENTs because solo-friendly content forces me to want one!

No idea what the point of loot lockout for CT is. Discourage people from playing the game I guess. If there were no loot lockout, I'd have a reason to run it to gear out alt classes but as it stands its still better to level a new character to run coil twice. I agree with lockouts for Coil, as those are the highest level gears, but a lockout for Crystal Tower makes no sense to me whatsoever.
I'm not a fan of the loot lockout.
With that said, if they made it weekly per job OR made it to where pieces dont fall to the ground
when not lotted on, either of those would be a better option. Seeing gear just disappear is not
a good thingl
