1. In Coil I can get more than 1 piece of gear I chose to and were allowed to lot on it from Turn 1, 2, 4 and 5 - That already makes it completely different from CT.
2. Pretty much every other raid I've done in an MMO I wasn't locked out for a complete week or locked out for a week just because I obtained an item.
So no...it's just SE trying to keep content alive for the next 3-6 months.
I've mentioned this on a previous thread
Weekly lock out is too long. It shouldn't be a global lockout either. 72 Hours I think would be sufficient enough and it should be from the time you enter(Like Limbus/Dynamis in XI).
The tomestones can stay on a weekly global lock out, because it would be too difficult to manage I Think.
Would you rather only be able to run CT once per week, and get stuck with only whatever drops from that one run, like Coil?
The only reason to rerun CT after getting your loot is if you have an endless supply of 7 friends to help or if you still need Philo tomes, because you'll get 450 myth tomes fairly quick out of CT which is also on a weekly timer. So me personally? I'd rather run content on my own accord and lot items on my own accord, normal MMORPG game design...well MMO design of MMOs that seemed to have lasted 10+ years.
1. you COULD drop more than 1 gear then you DON'T chose (i could swear the cest drop whatever they like from a set table). Heck, you're lucky if you can drop 1 piece. And wherever you drop or not you are locked out. At least you can keep doing ct until you drop exactly what you want, and help others after you did, thing you can't do in coil after been locked.1. 2. the world is full of weekly lockout for raids. WoW is one of those. Worst, wow save your progress after every boss you defeat, loot or not, making it exactly like coil.
the only thing i can argue is the lockouts too long, maybe 3 days for CT is enough. But lockout aren't new, and are necessary if we want to keep guaranted loot every chest

It's doing a great work at killing my alt jobs.
Sure, you can do all content in darklight + relic... but good luck even entering such content with "low ilvl". GJ SE. Make it hard to get gear, then introduce a feature to measure your worth though gear.
It would make darklight and crafted gear worthless if i80 was unlocked. It would also make i80 a minimum requirement for all content. I'm not sure I'm ready to run CT until I hate it and the game just so my alts can run in pug groups.
What is the reasoning behind not being able to obtain but one piece of gear a week. Someone please explain. I feel lost and stupid. Help me understand in dummy terms.
I meant in the sense that you can be done with the raid, even early in the week with no point (or no ability) to run it till next reset.1. So that the dungeon has an "end" and to cap progression speed. On clear lockouts that'd be the same as killing the last boss for the week. The only thing new is the method, but such things have always been there. What is the reasoning behind not being able to obtain but one piece of gear a week. Someone please explain.
