Forget him Shai, he's spamming around the forums and having a temper tantrum and advertising for GWII at the same time.

I propose something like a dev diary where they post updates about what they're up to every few days.
See my thread for more info about their openness.

SE Sucks.
I'll look into it.
hhm hhm, XI has really gotten their chiz together lately. I really miss the days of logging into POL, and reading all the new tidbits on the main page, voiced over as moogle talk lol. And by miss it, I mean not really because I still play XI daily and loove it.
that said though, it's not really fair to compare the best of XI to the worst of XIV
I try to be patient but it is driving me crazy that the 1.17B patch notes are STILL headlining the Lodestone page....The only info we've gotten for weeks is vague bs like "We're looking into it." Seriously?!?!! I'm sure they are busy but come on they can do just a little better than this, don't they know how frustrated this kind of crap makes their players?
Reading this threas makes me want to unlearn english.
Well, one more thing the English and Japanese forums agree on: the Letter from the producer is overdue, and SE's information policy once again sucks just as hard as when Tanaka was in charge.
This fact can't be ignored.
Both are the same general team, including Tanaka being a figure in both.the FF14 team
They're not going to post every detail regardless. No MMO developer does, not even in the MUD days. The only "plans" that get posted are plans for the next patch which depending on the MMO, is usually a 3 week - 7 month timeframe -- which Yoshida has been doing (posting plans.)Would it really be that much harder to hire more people to have access to the devs' overall plan, and post details about it on Lodestone periodically?
Interestingly, the same teams also have two completely different strategies for developing the game right now.
Could that have anything to do with the difference in communication? Of course not, since that would make too much sense.
