I love Duty Commendations. Thank you for them.

Just that, really. I like that we now have a way to give someone who did well in a dungeon run a bit of encouragement. My only regret is that we can't give them to multiple people.

The reason I made a thread for this is I want to ask: Who have you commended recently?

Today I commended (in order of increasing uniqueness):

- A tank, for plainly marking targets.

- A random damage-dealer who was the only one in the group to chat a bit besides the initial "hello". Also, she was wearing the reindeer clothes and used emotes a lot.

- A healer, who kept pace with a tank who was pulling multiple groups of mobs. I'm sad I couldn't commend the tank too, as he pretty obviously knew the deal. They both had serious finesse and were super-friendly.

- A tank who started a low-level run seemingly barely knowing what his abilities did (and not being able to communicate fast being on PS3)...but listened to advice, and by the end of the dungeon his improvement was spectacular.

I never commend depend on class
I commend who do the work more or who do the hardest work, like healer that heal non stop and manage to keep us alive,a tanker that run around to steal agro from healer or magic class
Player that never give up and keep cold head, happen last night when tanker and other is new to haukke manor HM. not a terrible run but we new ofcoz will happen to do mistake
Player gear, the one that wear overkill gear mostly wont get my commend......which is also me the one that wear overkill gear at DR guildhest and low level dungeon
The one that chatty and always ask who new and give instruction to newbies

As a tank I always commend the healer (unless it's a 8 player content with another tank, then I commend the other tank for working with me, also as a matter of respect), It's a matter of respect.

As an aside, I think Healers should commend their DPS, Tanks can reward their healer, and DPS can reward the tank (or vice-versa).

This way, everyone wins!

I would love to agree with this, but it negates the purpose of the system.

Yeah it's just not in the spirit of it's purpose. Some player posted a thread yesterday about how he has already over 300 commendations and showing off the rewards. Obviously they not using it as intended but also not breaking the rules either.

This, but as a healer, I rarely commend the tank unless they are really going above and beyond. Marking, communicating, etc,..

I believe DPS will more often than not get the short end of the commendation stick, so I like to give them to DPS. Unless they are constantly attacking the wrong mobs and constantly pulling hate off the tank. But also those that are good spirited and fun loving players. Chatty and showing they are having fun.

Oh, and I always will commend a fellow Arcanist above anyone else for any reason. Respect.

Even if they're bad? I certainly don't commend my healer if they're bad. Unfortunately, I've finished several instances where I did not give a single commendation because everyone was terrible. I'll also commend an outstanding DPS over a healer that's just doing their job. These are just my reasons though. Obviously, everyone is free to commend whomever they want for whatever reasons they choose.

As a healer, I tend to send one to that awesome DPS that carried the group pretty hard and did their job appropriately. There's always the doofus DPS who decides to pop-cooldowns early and threat is ape-shit crazy, resulting in them NOT getting my vote.

Seriously, reward your DPS once in a while. I feel bad for them. I heal all the time and get commendations for it, and so does your tank with his insta-queue.

I ran Haukke and Copperbell HM last night on my Monk, informed them i was on my first run through them, and ended up with 3 Commendations out of 2 Dungeons.

So, in short, No, DPS will not get the shaft. Be nice, do your job, carry the run. People will thank you for it.
