I take it as "Dude, we KNOW it's an issue, but do you seriously not see we got bigger problems right now?"

Well, maybe that wouldn't have been the problem if they had LISTENED TO US THE FIRST TIME.
I can appreciate that people have a long history with SE and want to believe they can make it right. I believe so myself. But this is their own hole they dug themselves into and I'm not going to feel sorry for them for having ignored our feedback when we gave it to them.
The alpha was too short and we told them so. Didn't change.
People couldn't connect during the alpha due to the horrible server setup. Need to delay/lengthen the alpha. Barely changed.
The beta was too short and we told them so. Didn't change.
Hardly anything was different between alpha and beta and we told them so. Didn't change on release.
I've done plenty of work as a contractor before. You can't expect your client to have sympathy for you because you screwed up. Deadlines are still deadlines. Get more people on board. Save the sinking ship.
If they had listened to us, the game wouldn't have launched last year, and this would be an entirely different situation and perhaps we'd all be feeling a lot better about it.
