"We'll Look Into It..." What's It Mean to YOU?

Considering "We'll look into it" has only one true meaning based on my current knowledge of the English language, it makes me feel they're actually considering the possibility.

You of all people should know that in the gaming industry it has a completely different meaning, hell during gamespots e3 tour they practically said this all the time or "We cant talk about it now".

"We'll look into it" is telling me, this goes over there until we get this other stuff figured out.

in MMo terms its acknowledgement that they see the issue, want to let you know they do, but have NO INFO on it at that time

No actually "We'll look into it" means nothing at all.

I'm really not trying to sound rude but, their are way to many people that are naive to reality. I'm seeing a lot of people on this planet lately that just accept whats given to them and see the most positive thing out of it. That's being naive in the worst way.

I also have to ask, what age are those people that think "we'll look into it" actually means something positive. Again, I'm not trying to be rude. I'm truly concerned that people have a warped sense of reality that being handed crap is actually gold.

I'm definitely going out of the context of the game here, but wth man. If this is the way people think in reality, this planet is done for.

we will look into it means just that, its a response, better then nothing, but if they have no info beyond that they cant say anything else obviously

So if I go to a restaurant and they messed up on my original order, told me they are going to fix it, sorry!

I waited another 30-40min and my food isn't out yet, so I ask the waiter what happen?

Waiter "Let me go check"

...repeat... after a while if I don't see what the hell is going on, more details whats causing the delay, or what the issue is, or what actually we'll look into it means, it gets old. Just looks like a simple reply to make some players like you happy, making think that they acknowledged the issue but it wont be don't be actually looked into until much later date.

I'd rather see them post something with little more details

We'll look into it but please understand our priority is blah blah blah, and we will give you more information on the current priority issues blah blah blah, and this issue/suggestion will be added to our on going list of things but please understand... etc...etc...

I know they wrote something similar to that already but time after time of "We'll look into it" kind of gets old...

At least that's just me, talking from a programmers point of view. If I was SE and I keep on getting people asking whats the status of this!! I will explain a little more than just keep on replying "We'll look into it"
