It is sounding more and more like most english speaking players just don't bother. However even if you don't get commendations if you are going to run CM i would suggest going as a tank since you can set the speed of the run yourself then. ^^

On a side note, when I run CM or the other main quest ID I usually get about 3 when I tank. But I play with other Japanese players and Japanese are generally more social in random groups than English players. I also happen to talk like a cat in Japanese and people usually say it is cute so that gets me a lot I would imagine. But I was doing that since the start of the game so. ^^
