I am extremely frustrated, and could really use this communities help.
Here is my situation:
I have a Playstation 3, and the retail version of FFXIV: ARR. I played the game throughout all phases of the BETA, and played through my first 30 days of the retail version. However, due to a heavy workload this semester of college I had to stop playing the game and concentrate on my studies. Fast-forward to yesterday when the semester is over and I would like to begin playing FFXIV again. I signed up for a new 6 month subscription and was excited to play the game again. A few days prior to this I had to do a full restore of my PS3's HDD at the request from Sony Support. Therefore, I needed to reinstall the game and begin patching it.
I inserted my retail PS3 FFXIV disc and let it install the 6.5gb file. Once installed I booted it up and entered in all of my info and let the client begin the updating process. I figured within an hour I would be in game and having fun. I couldn't tell you how wrong I was...
The download is nearly a 2.5gb file, once the file reaches somewhere within the 1.4gb download range it stops downloading and begins to install the file. After about a minute or so goes by I get error [11006] [20641] [20643] and it tells me to restart FFXIV. I followed the instructions and tried to redownload the file. Every time I did this, I got the same result.
At this point I have literally tried everything possible in order to get this to work. Here are some of the things I have tried.
*Delete the game and reinstall it from the Disc
*Delete the game and reinstall from the PSN download list
*Delete all FFXIV Data including what was in my online Storage
*Setting up my PS3 with a static IP
*Placing PS3 in the DMZ
*Using a Wireless connection
*Using a Wired connection
*Enabling and Disabling Media Server
*Enabling and Disabling UPnP
*Full Restore of my PS3 (took 18 hours)
At this point I have no idea what else to do. I have contacted support several times regarding this issue. The last rep that I spoke to insured me that because the error mentions (BETA Version) that it is something wrong with the version I have. As I said before I have the retail disc. He told me that he has exhausted all of his support options and that I should contact Sony about it and see if they have an updated version of the game. He said that based on the fact that under my download list the date is 8.15.13 and the game came out on 8.27.13. I took his advice and called Sony and they were absolutely clueless and no help at all. They told me to call SE back and have them give me a new code to download it.
If anyone could offer me any help to this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. Below are the two images of the file being downloaded and the error that I keep getting.
