Relic help: materia-enhanced Picatrix

So I'm a fairly new 50, working on my first relic weapon annnnnd I have no idea if I can make this myself or what. I know I can buy the erudite's picatrix, and I guess I can buy the materia too... but would I be able to err.. meld? it myself? I don't have any crafting discplines leveled so I'm not sure how this works. Could someone give me a quick rundown? It'd be much appreciated. x_x

Right click on someone (or press the Square button while targeting them) and see if the "Request Meld" option comes up. If not, there is a NPC you need to talk to in the Goblin camp with a quest that talks about melding. You do not need to have a crafting class leveled to request melds.

If you have the melding request option unlocked, you will need to buy Grade 3 Carbonized Matter (since your materia will be tier 3) from the markets under the "Catalyst" section.

Once you have the picatrix, the 2 materia, and 2 of the Carbonized Matter, ask around or search for a level 50 Alchemist and use the Request Meld option while targeting them. You pick the book, then the materia, and the crafter does the rest.

To actually meld it yourself, you would need to be a level 50 alchemist (Which class is needed varies from item to item). As mentioned above, you can request other players to meld for you, so you do not need to have it leveled. Also, do keep in mind that, due to the requirement I stated, the only people who can meld it for you are level 50 alchemists.
