Skippable Cutscenes End Up Being...Basically None Of The Cutscenes?

Patch 2.1 implemented a cutscene auto-skip options, which was originally inspired by everything PS3 players had to go through in CM/Praetorium in 2.0 when they spent half the dungeon run in cutscene loading screens.

Now the auto-skip option seems to apply to literally NONE of those scenes. As far as I can tell, it applies onto to use of the airship/ferry.

I am curious as to the rationale for choosing not to help PS3 players be on a more even playing field. This is not only a convenience issue, as the start of Coil Turn 4 can be affected by failure to skip cutscenes quickly on PS3.

On turn 4 your group does NOT have to start the battle before all cut scenes are finished. The player who pulls chooses to begin the battle by walking into the middle, and he has no reason not to wait for all players to be ready. While I agree we need this option the example you gave does not support it at all.

It only seems to affect transportation/transition cutscenes. Eg. The waste bin in CM.

Anything that involves dialog won't be auto-skipped.

I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't enable the option to skip cutscenes in dungeons, etc. You can skip them when they start to load, why not have a static option to skip them all? I don't even remember what teleportation cutscenes look like, haha.

Yeah I was so happy when I read about this change and then when I saw the option I was sad...

I want to auto skip every single CS I have already seen once but I don't think we can because bosses are often not in the zone until the CS.

As long as everyone is standing near the terminal when it is activated, you can wait as long as you want for people to load/skip/watch cutscene.

Agreed, I could really do with an option that skips all cutscenes I;ve watched before. It gets kind of dull having to watch each and everyone each time again. Even if I have to skip manually, its just wasted time.
