Requesting expanded Free Company permission settings

Specifically, I want to see a "can talk in FC chat" flag set. Probably also "can talk in alliance chat" once that gets implemented.

EDIT: Since some questioned why I wanted this added, I'm quoting the reasoning I gave a few posts down so that people who just read the OP and immediately hit reply are less likely to ask the same question over and over.

Alternately, once FC alliances get added, this would be helpful to force everyone to use alliance chat (which is something that some alliances, but certainly not all, might prefer).

so let me get this straight, you want to limit people that you invite into your FC to be able to chat?? Im confused, why invite them into the FC in the firstplace if you don't want them to talk?

So... why are you inviting people to your FC if you don't want to talk to them? You just want them to help raise your FC's level without offering any benefit to them?

Ah, a temporary mute, then. Yeah, that does make some sense. Kinder than kicking. :/

There are also some oddities of how money is handled in the company chest. Would like expanded permissions around gil, especially now that we're saving for a house.

I have a pet peeve against blisting someone in my own FC. If those are the people that I'm choosing to surround myself with, I need to take a step back and take a look at my choices. I realize sometimes it's out of your hands as it could be a friend of an FC leader that gets invited and they end up being obnoxious, (I've seen this situation twice in this game already) but yeah, something doesn't seem right if you have to block someone in chat.

There's a difference between blacklisting and a short-term "hey, knock it off" mute. Not to mention that "use alliance chat only" could very be a feature that some alliances might prefer, particularly those that would exist as a result of the 512 member cap on free companies. (And let's not start THAT slapfight again, the original thread was enough of a trainwreck.)

Plenty of mmos allow guild officers to mute/squelch communications from a member. To curb drama in the middle of a fight without having to outright boot him. When you have four people in a raid yelling at each other, you can kick them, but squelching them will have them at best take it to tells (where it should be anyway), and allow leadership to diffuse a situation. It's not unheard of, and the lack of guild leadership experience among all of you is quite evident.

Most decent mmos also have an officer channel within the guild for leadership to talk among themselves. Legitimately a linkshell could be made for this, but this should be an FC function.
