    Request for Myth rewards from PVP.

    I feel that it would be great if we could get 1 myth tome for participating, and 1 more for winning. Although it might sound silly, little by little these tomes stack up.

    Reason I’m asking is because i want to become very heavily invested in PVP, but i still want to feel progression towards PVE. I fully expect people to criticize this idea. But I honestly don’t understand why. Any player who improves his PVE gear is nothing more than a teammate who will be more effective when he/she parties with you.

    A few points to back up my request:
    -Myth rewards will attract more players to PVP
    -PVP would become a viable means to obtain tomes, meaning less grinding dungeons, and less monotony.
    -More pvp means more items consumed, and thus more market traffic.
    -if rewards happen at this rate, PVP would still not be the fastest means to farm myths. Hence, PVP won’t replace dungeons altogether.

    PvP should not share same reward as PvE. Your idea does sound silly, not sure if others agree. Same for PvE ask for Wolf Mark in normal dungeon run. No, thanks.

    Can you please elaborate. Maybe make an argument and support it with why it is practical/impractical.

    You are basically saying in between the lines its silly because its illogical. but frankly in a video game environment there is no room for the "logical" argument. At the very least, can you tell me so much as a single reason NOT to give myths in the den? how does myths in the den harm anyone, at all...

    And i disagree with what you said about it being the same thing to ask for wolf marks in pve. FF14 is 95% pve and 5% pvp. im asking to allow it so that when i play pvp i dont fall behind in what is essentially 95% of the game. Saying that 95% of the content in the game should benefit you in 5% of the game, yeah that is silly.

    It should reward myth, IMO. I don't like PVP personally but it should reward those who do like it over dungeon runs and those who choose to focus on it. It provides more options and fun for those that enjoy it over dungeon grinding.

    However if they decide to remove the restriction on the PVP gears' materia only working while in PVP then I think it wouldn't be too bad the way it is set up currently, as you could just use the PVP gear for PVE with enough melds.

    Not going to bother to question you about where your 95% is coming from, but this is not Final Fantasy 11. Final Fantasy 14 patch 2.1 has installed a gear progression system for PvP. The only difference to other MMO that has PvP is that Final Fantasy 14 is not open for Player Killing.

    FF14 has a complete PvP gear progression system. Gear progression system is a system that rewards player's time and effort. Different than other MMOs, FF14 has drawn a clear boundary between PvP and PvE. You are unable to use PvP gear outside of PvP zone and PvE gear is not as efficient as PvP gear because lack of morale as stat. The ilvl 90 gear from myth, does not have a real advantage over ilvl 70 gear from wolf mark. There is simply no point to reward players that participate in Wolf Den with myth, because wolf mark should be the only reard for gear progression.

    I'll elaborate. Unless Myth gives PVP Gear, then there is no use for it in a PVP setting. You PVE for PVE rewards. You PVP for PVP rewards. Never, EVER cross the two... EVER.

    If I see someone in Myth gear, I can safely assume that the person wearing it has probably run primals and dungeons a significant number of times to at least grasp some common battle mechanics in the PvE content to have acquired his gear. If PvP gave out Myth tomes, however, it would be more difficult to tell since now there's a chance that this same player may have put all his time into PvP and obtained his Myth gear that way, thus may be completely inexperienced in PvE party mechanics.

    This is the same reason that I believe it's a good thing high level PvP gear is obtained from PvP only. Just imagine if Coil or Crystal Tower dropped PvP gear; there would be a chance for you to be matched up with someone decked in full Direwolf gear that just gets demolished by the opposing team out the gate because he hasn't gained the same level of PvP experience.

    Wow, dude. Seriously, thank you for being one of the few open minded and selfless people around these forums. You understand that even tho you yourself dont like pvp, others do. And all im proposing is to provide an alternative way to obtain myths. A way that some of us will actually enjoy, as opposed to the mindless dungeon grind.

    Are you kidding me right now?! Do i seriously need to explain to you how FF 14 ARR 's content is ~95% pve and ~5% pvp?? Just take two seconds to look at the duty finder and count the number of dungeons, primals, guildhests, raids. And when you are done with that, add all the quests and leves.

    And the rest of your comment had absolutely nothing to do with giving out myths in pvp. what does rewarding myths in pvp have to do with ff14 being open to player killing? And clear boundary between pve and pvp? you seriously just pulled that out of your sleeve. that really just has no meaning. And you CAN use pvp gear in pve, and you CAN use pve gear in pvp.

    dude i already addressed this. myth reward in pvp is so that i am still able to have progression in pve through pvp. again ill say, its so that people who do heavy pvp dont fall behind in pve, specially since this game is truthfully mostly pve.

    PvE gear is for pve... PvP gear is for PvP. Its a clear line. If i want to farm myth tomes out side of dungeons i can do treasure hunts and dailies. If you want to progress PvP you should PvP if you want to progress PvE you should PvE. I wouldnt ever ask for PvP marks from Doing PvE dailies. It's clearly a bad idea.
